SPRING FLING CAMP 2008 - UPDATES

- March 22, The Spring Fling Camp 2008 DVD is due to be out in a few weeks. Check back soon for release and details.
- As of February 15, 2008 we have TWO SPOTS LEFT for the Spring Fling Camp!
- We like to plan for all weather possibilities here in the Santa Ynez Valley, so please make sure you have everything on this list before arriving at the camp: Athlete Gear List
- Specialized Bikes will be sponsoring this camp! This is your chance to try out the new Transition TT bike and other Specialized products. Stay tuned for more details!
- Dr. P.Z. Pearce, Ironman Medical Doctor for numerous Ironmans and the 70.3 World Championships in 2008, will be giving an educational presentation on: "How to avoid the Ironman Medical Tent at your next race!" Dr. P.Z. is currently leading the way in helping athletes with all aspects of sports medicine and we are honored to have him attend the Spring Fling!
- I am pleased to announce that Coach Tim Luchinske from Colorado a former Ironman professional and currently a 2:30 marathoner will be completing the coaching staff for this camp. Catch up on Tim's quest to break 2:30 in a marathon just weeks before the start of the Spring Fling timluchinske.blogspot.com. Tim is currently coaching Ironman athletes/marathoners and inbetwen spending hours with Ben, his beautiful one year old son. Tim joins coaches Chuckie V, Andy Fox, Michael Covey and Dr. P.Z. Pearce to round off the coaching staff for this camp.
- Michael Covey is yet again offering to transport your bike to and from the Spring Fling Camp if you live in the Seattle area! The charge for this service is $220 round trip. Pick up will be on Wednesday, March 5th at 5pm. Michael will have the bikes in Solvang on the Friday afternoon in time for the century. Post-camp your bikes will be available back in the Seattle area on Tuesday, March 18th (time TBD). The place for both the drop off and pick up will be at Pro Sports Club. - Shared Century accommodation available at the Meadowlark Inn for a male athlete. If anyone is looking for shared accommodation for the century weekend please contact the Camp Director Charlie. We have one spot open for a male athlete in one of the shared kitchen rooms. Thanks!
- Don't forget to register for the Solvang Century if you are arriving early at the camp!
